Jagdish Negi _State President Uttarakhand
Shri Jagdish Negi from Nagari village near Bhowali, Uttarakhand. Since 2015, worked to make the community cleaner and greener. With the support of volunteers, we built over 500 water conservation structures and removed 100 truckloads of waste from the Shipra River. Local people and school children joined these efforts.
To combat plastic pollution, we created eco-bricks from 600 quintals of plastic waste for garden borders. Additionally, our forest protection efforts near Ghoda Khaal revived 40,000 trees using Assisted Natural Regeneration (ANR).
Our contributions earned awards like the Goalkeeper Award, Umesh DobhalHonor, and Jal PrahariHonor. Despite challenges, it’s fulfilling to witness community transformation for a cleaner, greener Uttarakhand.
This journey has been full of challenges, but it brings me great joy to see how much our community has improved. I hope to keep working for a cleaner and greener Uttarakhand.
